Please see below for all our options for ordering and collection of prescriptions.
You can order your repeat prescription items via many different methods:
Please ensure that you have nominated our pharmacy with your GP surgery so that the surgery can send us your prescription. We recommend ordering your prescription when you reach your last 7 days of medication, this allows 3 days for the prescription to be generated at the surgery, 1-2 days for us to dispense it and an allowance for any weekends!
We collect prescriptions from the following surgeries: Roseneath (Buckley), Bradley’s (Buckley and Mold), Marches (Buckley), Pendre (Mold), Clwyd House (Buckley).
Since our establishment in 1986, Speeds Pharmacy has grown substantially but our values and business philosophy remain the same today as they always have been.
We are rightly proud of our enviable reputation for quality and high professional standards, and combine these with approachability and genuine concern for the health and welfare of our customers and patients.
In a world full of large commercial operators, we remain independently owned and operated.
We carry a huge stockholding and, being independent, have access to a wider variety of wholesalers. We can often access stock that large multiples cannot.
We dispense a wide variety of prescription types including NHS prescriptions from your GP, hospital doctors, dentist, district nurse or optician. We also dispense private prescriptions too, please contact us if you require a quote.
Our advanced repeat service manages the ordering of your repeat prescriptions. It is ideally suited to those patients who regularly have the same items every month or two months. Please speak to a member of the team if you are unsure if you are eligible for this service.
Each time you collect your prescription you will be prompted if you need to order the same items again for the next collection date. Just let a member of the team know if you require the same items again or specify which items you require and they will provide you with the next collection date.
If you provide us with your mobile number, then once your prescription is stored on our shelves you will receive a text message informing you that a prescription is ready for collection.
We offer a 24/7 prescription collection via our collection machine for those who can’t collect during the pharmacy opening hours or don’t want to queue. Please speak to a member of the team regarding eligibility for your prescription.
You will receive a SMS message with a code, enter this code into the machine and your prescription will be presented in the drop box for collection. Prescriptions are stored in the machine for 72 hours, if not collected after this time they will be moved inside the pharmacy for collection.
For patients that are housebound and live within a local 3-mile radius of the pharmacy, we can provide a delivery service.
You must be present when we deliver your prescription, we cannot put medicines through the letterbox. If you are not present when we deliver your prescription, you will receive a note through the door and your prescription will be returned to the pharmacy for collection.
