Frequently Asked Questions

Why can I trust Speeds Pharmacy Online to dispense my prescription?

We are an NHS contracted, fully registered pharmacy, regulated by The Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain. We understand the importance of our customers, and safely and securely delivering your prescription is one of our main objectives. We will only post your prescription if all the correct forms are filled in and signed and you or an adult are there to accept the delivery. If you have any issues regarding your prescription, please contact us where we will be more than happy to help you.

Why will you only dispense and deliver NHS prescriptions for residents of Wales registered with a Welsh GP?

We do not currently accept any payments online. Our Welsh location means that unlike online pharmacies located in England who are obliged to charge prescription fees to non-exempt Welsh patients, we can guarantee no charges are ever payable for the dispensing or delivery of your prescription.

Why do I have to print and fill out a patient information form?

By law you need to provide a signature with all your prescription orders, therefore you must print out your form and fill in the boxes and sign the document with a pen. Filling out all the information on your patient information form is imperative for us to give you a secure and accurate service.

How long will it take for my prescription to be delivered?

We aim to deliver your prescription service within 1 or 2 days of receipt. So please allow 5 working days from the date you post your prescription for your medicines to be delivered. Our FREEPOST service only allows us to use second class delivery, please attach a first class stamp if you would like to receive your prescription sooner.

Who delivers my medicines?

We use Royal Mail who will deliver your medicines by Recorded Delivery or Special Delivery. An adult will need to sign for the delivery when it arrives. Your medicines will be delivered in plain, discreet packaging.

What are the delivery options?

We can deliver to your home or any alternative address such as your work, or to a carer as long as it is standard UK postal address. You need to be confident that someone approved by you is able to sign for your delivery.

What if I’m out when my delivery arrives?

If you are out when your item is delivered, the Royal Mail will leave a card to say that they have been. You can then either pick up your item from the local delivery office, or call to arrange re-delivery for free.

How much do you charge for delivery?

There is no charge for delivery of NHS prescriptions.

Can I send my prescriptions to Speeds Pharmacy Online?

We can dispense your NHS prescriptions, as long as they are written by a UK-registered prescriber. We aim to deliver your prescription medicines to you within 1-2 days of receipt of your prescription in the post. For more details about our prescription service, call our pharmacy team on 01352 759030.

What if I have a complaint?

At Speeds Pharmacy, customer satisfaction is of paramount importance to us. In the event of any complaint or problem you should contact the duty pharmacist by telephone on 01352 759030.
If for any reason, you remain dissatisfied, then please contact our Superintendent Pharmacist, Mr David Speed, at our pharmacy address and the matter will be fully investigated.
